2012 AAO Leadership Development Program

Opthalmology LTD Cookbook

Our employees published a cookbook this year, to raise money to donate to an area of need in the community. We are proud to announce that we have picked The Banquet as our organization of choice this year, so that they may make the holidays more merry for those less fortunate in our community.

Optometric Education Program

1. On October 8, 2011 Ophthalmology Ltd. hosted an Optometric Educational Program at the Sheraton Hotel.  59 Optometric colleges attended and they each receive five hours of continuing education credit for the program.  Attendance certificates were mailed to all those in attendance.

3. 12th annual Ophthalmology Ltd. Educational Scholarship

   Congratulations to Kristen Grassa, the winner of the 12th annual Ophthalmology Ltd. Educational Scholarship (In memory of Marge Perkins). The scholarship is awarded to children, stepchildren, and/or grandchildren of Ophthalmology Ltd. Employees. 

13th annual gift of sight & health charity golf tournament

Ophthalmology LTD was a corporate sponsor for the 13th annual gift of sight & health charity golf tournament. The tournament ended with the OLTD team tied for first place and finishing second in a golf card playoff. Congratulations to all the participants of this year's tournament. Links to Literacy Golf Tournament by Excel Achievement

Ophthalmology LTD. Is proud to support the Links to Literacy Golf Tournament by Excel Achievement. Proceeds support at-risk children who are struggling in school, especially in reading and dyslexia.

Blind and Visually Impaired (SVBI) Woodworking Program

Ophthalmology Ltd. recently donated to the Blind and Visually Impaired (SVBI) to assist with the purchase of a planer for their woodworking program. The individuals in the SVBI program are those with vision problems and may be visually disabled. The program will help these individuals gain confidence from recently becoming legally blind.

Center for Active Generations Health Fair

Ophthalmology Ltd. will be sponsoring a booth at the Center for Active Generations Health Fair in early May.

55th Annual Lions Club Pancake Days

The 2011 Sioux Falls Downtown Lions Club is putting on the 55th Annual Lions Club Pancake Days on Tuesday, April 19 and Wednesday, April 20. Each year Ophthalmology Ltd. invites our entire staff and a guest for the delicious pancake meal. We'd like to invite and encourage everyone in the community to try and attend. The work of the eye bank enables our surgeons to perform special surgery that restores sight to patients suffering from debilitating eye diseases.

Center for Active Generations 10th annual Gourmet Guys Fundraiser

Ophthalmology Ltd. is a Corporate Sponsor for the Center for Active Generations 10th annual Gourmet Guys Fundraiser. On May 1st, Forty men from the Sioux Falls area, including sports figures, media personalities, doctors and business owners, will dish up appetizers, salads, entrees, side dishes and desserts.
